FOURTEEN POINTS!! we are getting laughed at! literally! I feel sorry for the lsu fans that put basketball first. Me, I'm a football guy, but the basketball people have to be really upset.

We will be playin the game in UK's hands if we go up-tempo. UK has controlled the pace anyways.
We'll drop like flies if run that type of pace on our own. I don't think everyone on the team is conditioned for that.

The team has 14 players. How much depth can any team field. Isn't usually that many, maybe 15? Up-tempo is about being in shape to run the floor. It's not a depth issue. Georgia Tech a few years ago, the coach ran his team like crazy prior to the season and it paid off. The next year, he made a pre-season announcement he wasn't working them that hard because they understood the program. Next, thing you know, GA Tech no longer much good.

I disagree.
They will lose Wall and Cousins and possibly Bledsoe and Patterson. They have 1 4 star recruit committed to their class this year (he is solid verbal) and that is it thus far. Next season will be a huge disappointment for them compared to this season.
LSU cannot get 3 one and dones in a season. But even if we could - it would not be in our long term best interest.

pressing and up tempo can mask some talent issues but not that much. esp against a team like uk that has talent and plays up tempo.

this. UK isn't winning the NC this year. A good half court team will beat them in a grind it out type of game.
Next year they will be without all their stars from this years team. Its a vicious cycle.
