Excellent sir. I was a 12B combat engineer. You are doing a great service to us all.

Good Luck TieWrap!!! Keep your eye on this board if you can, there was at least one guy here who setup a SlingBox feed for games last season and I may try to do it next year...my nephew is a Marine if Afghanistan right now.

You sir are a hero to me. Be safe and if you get some R&R and come to Abu Dhabi, look me up.

Can you be more specific? Thank you for your service, by the way.

Iraq isn't that bad of a gig anymore....very occasional off in the distance H&I fire, but for the past year, since we've won there, it is really not much worse than Korea about 30 years ago...only with better facilities for the troops. By this fall, you should have many ways to be able to follow the Tigers from there.

eta: there is one way it is worse: Korea had beer 30 yrs ago, and still does...Iraq is still dry.....but as far as combat goes, it's pretty much over.....I wouldn't be surprised if within the next year or so imminent danger pay and combat patches get pulled for having to serve there....like I said, you won't find it on CNN, but Iraq isn't that much of a combat zone any more...
