What do you think is a reasonable record for LSU in 2010?

Keep in mind that we play @ Auburn, @ Florida, @ Arkansas, home against Alabama and WVU, and on a neutral field against UNC.

Admins, please don't move this to the rant. I don't want it to disappear in that abyss and want to see what some of the fans here think.

I am going with 9-3 as an acceptable record. I think LSU should beat WVU at home, along with two of the other five games.

I usually go by the new QB rule, so we beat Auburn and Florida. We beat Alabama, because, well, we usually almost beat them even when we are struggling.

10-2

If they didn't even consider a Crowton buyout at 1 million, how would they do a Miles buyout at 11-12 million, especially with the recruiting class coming in?

The better question is: What will our excuse be for NOT going 12-0?

QB is not young.

Should have more depth/help on D-Line (with Brockers, Montgomery, Davenport, Downs, Ferguson, Copeland, Nevis, etc.).

Secondary should be solid.

If our O-line improves, there are no excuses for losing any games.

We have the talent, and the RP syndrome is now worn off.

Because we're in the today's world. The fanabse and booster have the biggest say. Money is not an object.

If we don't want to pay the buyout we'll just lock a player in a dark closet and give him a cameraphone and have him say Miles locked him in there...

Anything less than a 10 win season (including the bowl game) will be a disappointment.

I think it's realistic that we could have a one loss season, but I am expecting two.

No more Than two losses. Miles loses more than 2, and he can kiss BR goodbye

With our (perceived) worst offensive playing style, we were 13-3 with Florida and 15-24 with Bama, in terms of scoring.

This year we have the potential to be way better and not just an epsilon. I have confidence in our D to take prevent the points.

I therefore feel that 12-0 ,1-0 and then 1-0 is within our grasp. History and chance dictates that this is not easy and hence would settle for 11-1,1-0,1-0 or 11-1,1-0

Miles was not in danger of losing his job this after this season.

I agree, especially given Florida in a down year. I am surprised that so many people expect LSU to beat Bama though considering they are returning a good bit from their championship season. Also, I think we will split the road games between Arky and Auburn.

I really don't see Miles getting fired in this economy with a 10-3 record.

No, but Below Par basically said that the buyout on Crowton was what prevented LSU from looking at replacements more seriously.

I think a 9-4 record (after Bowl game) would be indicative of significant improvement.
