Decent straight-forward movie with a fresh take on the sci-fi genre.

Hinted at some cool ideas thematically but didn't really explore them all that much.

Good flick.... but had its flaws.

Half way though you will think "why dont these guys stop and negotiate. Try to solve the problem without killing anybody."

Typical pro-prawn propaganda. A bleeding-heart pro-prawn multispeciel claptrap.

Plot holes? Not really. Just not every single question imaginable was answered....that's it.

Why couldn't the humans find the huge arse drop ship that was barely underground?

What makes you think that the human's had tech capable of scanning for alien technology underground (in this fictional world)? Arguing over shite like this is pointless.

In Shawshank, how the frick did Tim Robbins fasten down all 4 corners on the poster from the inside when he was escaping? Oh wait that is frickING IMPOSSIBLE to do from the inside while escaping. Doesn't stop people from annointing it as one of their favorite movies though.

What about the Dark Knight? The fanboy movie king. How the frick did the Joker plant bombs on every bridge in Gotham without anybody seeing/or capturing any of his goons?

The bottom line is that you can nitpick on BS like this in basically every Hollywood movie.

Who pissed in your cornflakes? I didn't think the movie was that great and I really wanted to see it based on the previews alone.

It was a metal ship, not that had to break out a metal detector.

brah, sorry if it feels like im comin off harsh on you but i just dont get arguments like this on movies.

you can single out just about any type of movie for shite like this, it just feels petty to me.

the bottom line is that this was one of the best written sci-fi movies in a while, was well directed, and well acted.

People wonder why we get shite in the theaters and it's cause people can't appreciate the goods when a solid flick comes out. I'm a big sci-fi/genre fan and it's frustrating to me.

Who says it was made from an earth metal that we'd know how to scan for? Maybe it was made from some space age material that is lighter than air and is invisible to radar and scanning.

That's also your opinion, which everyone is entitled to have, not a fact. I just didn't find it that great of a film.

They used an oxy-acetylene torch to cut into the ship. Seems like a fairly normal metal to me.
