People need to get the frick over it.
Vikings would have turned the ball over anyway.

why are saints fans still giving a frick about this?

It was a makeup no call, cuz the last two shouldnt have been called

quote:
"Pretty much a direct shot into the back of [Favre's] legs," Pereira said of the hit.
Translation:
"The NFL would have had record TV ratings with Favre in the super bowl and we all know the NFL is only concerned with making as much money as possible- screw what team might have been better"
Also I loved how the hit on Sanchez after he handed the ball off "wasn't a personal foul"

he's right.
it was a dirty hit.
the saints are in the superbowl.
if it wasn't a legend at QB there would be no statement issued.
again, the saints are in superbowl.
move on.

It still shows that the Saints get no respect for the media and, if you read the article, it states that they would have been in the red zone and presumably scored. The national media gives no respect to the Saints and is pissed they didn't get their "Favre v. Manning" matchup.

The guy that hit him was knocked down by the O lineman and had to bear crawl to make the tackle. How was he not going to hit him in the legs? What did they want him to do, give up on the play since he was in an awkward position to begin with?

Oh I get it...I just don't care about it anymore.

So what is right. There were other calls we WERE flagged on, that even Troy Aikman, who would tend to sympathize with QBs, thought were BS, both of which kept Vikings drives alive, and resulted in touchdowns.
ALSO, even if this was flagged, and put the Vikings in the redzone, it doesn't guarantee they would have scored.
There were non calls, and bad calls all throughout that game, most of which went against the Saints, IMHO.
Anytime there is a close game, there is going to be scutiny of each, and every call, and whether it had an impact on the game. How about this for an impact on the game;
The two calls of roughing the passer, that were called on the Saints, both were BS. Even Troy Aikman, as I pointed out earlier, agreed they were BS, and he was a QB. BOTH calls kept the Viking's drives alive, both resulting in a touchdown, when otherwise the Saints had the Vikings stopped. Take away those two calls, and theoretically you take away two Vikings touchdowns, and give the Saints two extra possessions, because the Vikings would have to punt. THEN, the game is a blowout. You see, two can play at this game, and begin assuming a different outcome of the game. Vikings fans need to get over this. Maybe the non call on that particular play, was to make up for the two calls earlier, which were complete BS. It all evens out, in the end. The Saints won, now move on!

McCray still propelled himself into Favre's ankle after the block, and reached with his arms, grabbed, and rolled. It was intentional and dirty. But it's done, shite happens in football. Favre was OK.

I saw one play where Drew was driven into the turf, but no flag was thrown.

please....
did he mean to hurt him? who knows. But he absolutely went at his legs on his own, and that is dirty. Just like an undercut in basketball. Even if you don't mean to hurt someone it's a dirty play. But, shite like that happens nearly every single game in both sports....yes, even by your favorite teams and players.
The media is just overreacting b/c it was Favre.

I wonder if he reviews every questionable hit and comments on it. He'd never get any work done.
