I really don't understand some of our fans. I need some answers.

Did you not notice that our QB was exceptionally green at the beginning of the 2008 season and at the beginning of the 2009 season?
Do you not think that LSU would have had a much better record in 2008 and in 2009 if Ryan Perrilloux had been playing QB?
Do you not think that Les Miles made the right decision in dismissing Ryan Perrilloux?
What is the greatest difference between 2005-2007 and 2008-2009? Is it the coaching staff or the talent at significant positions?
Do you not believe that LSU will improve at those positions in 2010 and 2011? Why do you refuse to acknowledge the obvious?
Have you not seen the talent LSU is bringing in this year and next year?

Some fans just enjoy complaining. They will not be happy with the season unless we win the NC.

both

the season was shaped by the poor line play on both sides
when we improve there, we improve everywhere else
when we improve there, we improve everywhere else

It's valid, why not?

There have been problems over the last two seasons on the OL, and they were worse in 2009 than 2008. However, let's not ignore the fact that the defense lost games in 2008, while the offense lost games in 2009.

quote:Greatest difference was Crowton still being here and his notorious trend of regression when he's having to develop his QBs. He can't do it, and his playcalling at times is abysmal.
The greatest difference has been in the coaching staff?
quote:Based on the season long struggle last year, yea. Even w/ a month to prepare we saw the same crap offensively we saw all year. Improvement game by game throughout the season was minimal. Not expecting these same idiots to turn it around just bc they have another year. Crowton's trend is well documented.
So the staff has no idea how to coach players to be better? You really believe that?

And here comes the Arky hating flamer. Get over your hate man. I don't know naything about 64, hell I wasn't even born jackass.
I am just saying Les is your problem from an outside perspective. If you can't handle it then stop being a hypocrit and stop bad mouthing Arkansas with every chance you get.
Oh, and Les really did back into that 07 title. LSU did not win that title due to Les Miles coaching. Yall got in on the stature and name of LSU.
Now, take your Arky hating and flaming arse on.

At least you admit LSU is a bigger name than Arkansas

As far as recruiting goes, what is truly going to help is is last year's class and next year's class. I look forward to seeing Davenport, Downs, and Montgomery to make up what should be a dominant D-line... Randle showed great promise in his first year and I would hope that in the offseason, either Shepard can commit the playbook to memory, or the coaches can find a wrinkle for him, whichever the problem may have been. Michael Ford, I imagine will follow in the lines of Hester and Scott if we can reshuffle the lines accordingly.
Lonergan definitely needs to start over T-Bob and I would like to see Hurst and Blackwell starting.
