quote from ESPN's Chris Low:

quote:

I don't think Alabama is going to go undefeated next year. If they did, it would be a third straight regular season they've gone unscathed. Right now, to me, the Florida game and the game at Arkansas will be their two toughest tests.

C. Low is usually pretty harsh on the Tigers, but seriously, what does it say about the state of our program when outsiders are saying that playing at R-Kansas is a bigger challenge than facing LSU in Death Valley? is this basically the same kind of c*ck sucking that Old Miss received last preseason, or does LSU just not garner respect anymore?

How many times has Arkansas beat us the last 3 or 4 years?

well, Arkansas will be a better offense than LSU next year probably... our program is in a state of suck right now.

I don't understand why Arkansas is getting this kind of hype.

But really what have we done to earn it ourselves in the last couple of years?

LSU has earned and is getting less respect these days, but we have played Bama pretty close the last 2 years. OT in 2008 and the blown int call in 2009, we'll see how they replace Rolando McClain and Fat Cody.

Low has the right to his opinion. Mine is that Bama's toughest regular season game will happen in Baton Rouge, just as in '08 when they were more than fortunate to win in OT.

In addition to Mallet, Arkansas returns Johnson, Green, Jarius Wright, Hamilton, Adams and others on offense. They'll be far from helpless next year, with the kind of offense that should test all the new people on Bama's defense.

Perhaps some of our fans are in a "suck" mode, but 9-3, 3rd in the SEC, New Year Day bowl, and a national ranking doesn't equate to a "suck" program.

no Swagga in our program right now. that Old Miss debacle really took away the respect Miles and our team had earned the past few years.

9 losses in a two-year period doesn't equate into a top tier, national contender program either.

Every time some reporter says something critical of LSU, we question his credibility. We come to a conclusion that the reporter is always hating on us. Get a grip people. Low has said many great things about LSU over the season, but then you say Low is usually harsh on us. Look how we have played the last two freaking years, do you think he was going come and say that next season we will win it all.

They will replace them with good players who are well coached and will perform well, just like all good programs do when they lose players. They sure as hell won't flounder in mediocrity for two years because they lost a couple of great players.

GTFO!!
You sound like a moron. National ranking of a whopping #17 made your mouth water. 3rd in the SEC behind Nutt, and you think that is ok? Go root for Wisconsin or something. They are always 3rd in the Big Ten, nationally ranked at end of season, and maybe New Years Day bowl.

A "suck" program is one where they are happy with going 9-4 and finishing #17 in the country. A good program is one where that kind of season just doesn't cut it. The lack of significant changes on the coaching staff tells us what kind of program LSU is, as do comments like yours above.

We've beaten like what, 1 ranked opponent over the last 2 seasons? And that was Georgia Tech, a non-SEC team.

We've earned the lost respect. We still beat the patsies, we can't handle good teams anymore.

To add, the last 4 ranked teams to come to Death Valley beat us...we aren't even tough at home anymore.

It's not just sportswriters who have a lack of respect of LSU. It's the throngs of fans around the SEC. Ole Miss considers us their rivals, but they have been consistently chalkin LSU in their win column since Nutt has gotten there. MS State fans are callin this year's game a tossup at TIGER STADIUM!! And they have reserved the LSU game as an automatic loss for awhile now.

A bunch of fans here in MS think LSU is a dormant program right now. Notice I didn't say doormat. Tons of fans have opinions tho so it doesn't make a shite. Right?

No, it doesn't and I don't see anyone saying it does.

All I said was that "9-3, 3rd in the SEC, New Year Day bowl, and a national ranking doesn't equate to a "suck" program."

Has the LSU program dropped off from 07...yes. Were the results of 09 an improvement from 08...yes. Were those results all we wanted...no. Will 10 show an improved O, D, and an overall more pleasing product...hell, I don't know but I'm willing to be hopeful and hold my water till I see. I think the team deserves at least that after improving from 7-5 to 9-3.

Usually?

LSU might not get the attention that is used to get, but LSU is headed in the right direction.
We'll be back to elite status after 2010 and 2011.
