It has very little to do with the bowl game. The conditions of that game voided it for me, win or lose. The only "complete" game we played last year was Auburn, and maybe 3 quarters of the Alabama game, so unless there is a drastic improvement in the excecution of the offense and maybe some sort or pass rush, then it will be similar to this year.

The scary thing about Nebraska is that as good as their defense was this year, Pelini said there defense would be better this year.

I won't believe it until I see it either, that's just what I heard them say on the broadcast during one of the bowl games

I forgot about USC. On talent alone they need to be in top 10.

Wrong. That is stupid. With all that talent you just mentioned, they lost 4 games, and 2 were serious assrapings by less talented teams. Think before you post.

1. Ohio St - they have a favorable schedule with only two major road blocks being Miami at home and a huge game against Iowa on the road. Win those two and they are likely undefeated.

2. Oregon - Should take the Pac 10 easy and could finally go undefeated thanks to not scheduling Boise St

3. Boise St - They will be undefeated again. If only we could all have such an easy schedule.

4. Va Tech - Should be really good as usual.

5. TCU - Loaded and will be even better than last year. Easy schedule too.

6. Miami - They will be much improved if last year is any indication.

7. Iowa - Winner of the Ohio St/Iowa game could be 1 half of the NT game. Arizona could be a tough game for them as well.

8. Texas - If young QB works out they will be tough.

9. Nebraska - Must say Bo knows football!!

10. Arkansas - I hate to say it but with all the down teams in the SEC next year if these guys find even an hint of a defense they will win the SEC. I know no one will agree with me on this but hey thats why its my poll.

All you guys giving all these props to Bama and Florida are just nuts. Florida loses every single player of importance on that team and the DC to go along with it. Mullen was missed big time this year. Florida will finish behind USC and Georgia this year.

As for Bama. They are losing 9 starters on defense. NINE!!!! I don't care who the coach is, that is huge! I remember what Saban did at LSU in his last year and he ain't untouchable. Bama didn't have a offense that could carry the team last year either(68th overall). If that defense is not up to par they WILL lose 4 games next year. Get of the Bama coaster. Their bubbles is about to burst.

On a side note : this post is pointless and has no baring on reality which is pretty much worth no more or no less than any other pre-season poll that has ever been made. Take it with a grain of salt because it will change any second, or will it?

If LSU wins the season opener (convincingly), I'll have us at #5

LSU will not be in the top 15...my spot on prediction is 18...but preseason polls really mean nothing especially in the SEC

I do agree however it could be your year, simply based on a pathetic B10 next year.

The Big 10 next year is going to be as good as it's been in recent memory.

At Wisky should be tougher than Miami at home. PSU's a wildcard, as well. Will be interesting to see how good they are.

OSU can definitely "play" with Bama next year. And there's no other "elite" team in the SEC next year.

I agree we probably wont be top 10 but i think just outside of it

We have a depth chart loaded with inexperience, especially on defense. Even though we have some very talented players stepping in on the Dline, most of them have never seen a college fb field. The safeties are inexperienced. The LBs are inexperienced. Corners are good, but how much can they do alone? Offense has LOTS of question marks. Do you feel comfortable with the OLine? I'm not ready to say that. Do you feel good about the chances of Russel Shepard being utilized as a 3rd WR? Not me, Not yet. Do you feel much better today about Crowton's ability to put a cognisent offense out there? Not me. Take into account the schedule and I think we're looking at a tough row to hoe to get to 9 wins. I'm not being negative, I just think we're a year away, especially on defense.
