I do believe that sam montgomery has talked quarles into coming to lsu. Don't b suprised. I live here where they went to high school together. They raised hell together last year. That's the rumor around here.

i'm not very familiar with Quarles, can someone give me a run down on him. Position/rating/whether LSU has a legit shot (aside from this new news), etc?

4 Star DT from South Carolina (Gamecock commitment). When he arrived at the Army game he said he was thinking about visiting LSU and Tennessee. I think his dad played at South Carolina.

I don't know much on him, but he is a 6-4/275 DT currently committed to USCe and has stated that he is gonna surprise the nation on NSD. Whatever that means...
Scout had an article yesterday though that said he is all gamecock though.

yeah, I want to update it soon, and I have some good stuff to put on it, but I just moved and started a new job recently that has me too busy and worn out to put a quality product together. I'm going to try to get one out within the next couple weeks though.

Yep. I think I'd rather go through a RR scenario every year than to have a guy commit and change his mind. Not that any of them are trying to negatively affect a program on purpose although rumors do persist.

If(big if) he visits I think we get him.USCe is going through some strange stuff right now in recruiting.Seems like kids are jumping off the boat as fast as they can.I think he sticks though.Justin Parker is different.I'm getting a good vibe from South Carolina sources.They really believe LSU may be the team to beat after his visit this weekend.

I want every kid to make the best choice for himself. I just want him to make it before he commits and gets me all excited to see him in P&G that's all. People change their minds though and that's ok too.

Deafvalley you are speaking to the choir.The guys that do most of the bad mouthing and doomsday posts will never have anything good to say or admit that they are wrong for some of the posts they make.You are exactly right on this.You can't have the good without the bad.Every school goes through this and their fans overreact the same way.It's not a fun thing to get used to but you would figure that people would learn to not get so emotionally involved with certain recruits.Recruiting is too fluid and these are high school kids making the most important decisions of their lives to this point.

I don't get it.
I though Chavis wanted those 300+ pounders.
Quarles and Garrison Smith both seem to be 260 or so.
Would they play DE?
