the message boards as the major influence that swayed Mike Davis and Justin Hunter's decisions to de-commit from LSU. I think they may have thought it over and see a better fit elsewhere. We all make decisions and think about the consequences and when given the opportunity to make a change, $hit happens.... There's more of them out there. Maybe we replace them with Trovon Reed and another fine WR/ATH.

I know I'm going to get slammed, but I have to agree with him. I have a kid playing for me and he has started asking questions about LSU that I KNOW he's gotten from here. I think the constant negativity of Miles and Crowton on these message boards is a major factor in some recruits decisions.

Are we going to ignore the fact that both of these kids are going to schools closer to home? Can a message board make a kid feel homesick? No. Get over it. It clears the way for two guys that are from Louisiana and will be able to step up immediately. Calm down folks.

And your right... I think the kid that went to Tenn stayed closer to home when he realized a nut job wasn't running the show anymore. All I'm saying is that this board and the other 2 pay sites have a direct effect on recruiting with SOME (not all) kids.

TD played a big part of the negative recruiting.

I agree with you 100%!

People spew things out their mouths so much so, that if they wrote a check their bank accounts can't cash!

On here they can hide behind their monitors and peck away on the key boards and they don't care who they hurt and how!

I guess they need to change the name to "Squawk Box" instead of the Rant.

The Rant is to make your displeasure known.
The Squawk Box is to CONTINUALY make your displeasures known.

The biggest fear of many TD posters is that LSU will win the recruiting "title", go undefeated, and win the championship.

That would mean we keep LM as coach.

They'd rather see LSU lose recruits, and lose all the games so the coaches would be fired, so they can be right about it.

And, of course, nothing is their responsibility.

It's pretty sad. And, the recruits are listening.

If these kids watch or follow LSU just the slightest bit, they see all the negative things we talk about for themselves. We can't hide it. It is out there for everyone to see. The games are on TV. You think these kids need a messege board to tell them what they see when they watch our team and our coaching staff?

I subscribe to three other sites and this by far has the most negative readers.

If a recruit reads this site, it will make him think about his perception of LSU for sure...since all he hears about on his official is how great everything is. He hears negative stuff about LSU from other schools, but may not believe it...if they come here and see the same negative stuff from the school's own fans it's easier to believe it.

hopefully all posters will refrain from lambasting the 112th ranked offfense. it wouldn't be fair to not give our coach and his staff another year or two to climb out of 112th shithole of an offense ranking. what a coincidence the 2 players we lost were receivers. They may have realized our offensive problems have not been addressed, much less even resolved. If Billy G was going to be the offensive coordinator, and be the one to call plays, maybe there would be a ray of hope. With the same qb being here another 2 years, the same quality of a passing attack the recruits can look forward to potentially their whole college career, who can blame them for getting cold feet. it seem our defense has been solidified. if not for billy gonzalez, it appears miles is not concerned enough to address the offensive problems. it may get worse

I don't think they heard anything negative from the awesome tiger lair, as they couldn't see those message board pages...so dandy don should have specifically said tigerdroppings.

My plan of using this board to create negative mojo so I can somehow obtain season tickets is working nicely

Normally I defend him, but I think this time Dandy D missed the mark on this one. Their decisions are their decisions, they have their reasons, but if message board ranting is why they chose to go elsewhere, then they were never LSU material anyway.

Well, some of you guys slammed me several weeks ago when I told you opposing coaches were not talking about our offense to our recruits...they were showing the recruits what LSU's own fans were saying about our offense. How more damaging could that be. Our coaches can explain to recruits about a young qb, and other factors which went into the offensive numbers this year, but they cannot explain the multitude of bashing of our own coaches on here.

You did not want to believe it had an affect on recruits and you just kept on bashing our coaches. Those kids were reading. This is a free site, so it is the easiest for them to join and read. Hunter was one of those kids who opposing coaches were using our fan bases' displeasure for its coaches against us. They weren't using our stats or our offensive ranking, like you think. They were using YOU.

Face up to it. Deny it if you want. One kid turned his attention away from here because of the wrong reporting of Chavis leaving for georgia on here. Every out of state recruit has said they have been negatively recruited by other coaches, and not with what you think. It was with you. Hunter chose to look at teams closer to home. True. You just made it a whole lot easier for him to make that decision. He was committed here during the season and even after. The only thing to change was the constant bashing of our coaches on here.
