this is according to Charley casserly on NFL today

He has to be waiting for Rich Rod to fail right? Someone from Michigan has to have told harbaugh to cool his jets in palo alto

From a career standpoint, Kige is absolutely right. He could shite bricks at Stanford for a decade and it wouldn't really matter.

He could fail at Buffalo and it most likely wouldn't matter. Failed pro coaches with some kind of previous success coaching in college and a fiery personality are all the rage these days.

As for the jobs themselves, an NFL job is always better than a low-level BCS job, even if it's in Buffalo, NY.

I don't think so. I think he'll go to the NFL if he leaves Stanford.

agreed. look at Butch Davis, Callahan, Kiffin, Saban and Pete Carroll. I guess Harbaugh wants to stay in college.

He loves Stanford -- it is a place where you can compete in the Pac West, one of the best schools in the world, and Palo Alto is beautiful. He can choose what he wants -- i.e. Michigan after RR is perfect.
