You may think we're crying in our beer. But most astute Tech fans saw this coming, either this year or next.
At least our head coach moved on to a better job. He left us in much better condition than when he found us, and Tech will be just fine. The only negative about Dooley leaving is the timing: 2 weeks before signing day.

The problem with schools like Tech is that they will never keep a quality head coach for more than a few seasons. A lot of their fans have this idea that they are going to be the next Boise, but considering their proximity to the SEC and Big 12, a good coach is always going to be on the radar of bigger schools.
I have a hard time seeing Tech ever being like Boise.
