India's if you're looking for something a bit different.

Nagoya is ok if you want Chinese & sushi.

Bay Leaf Indian Cuisine
5160 South Sherwood Forest Blvd
Baton Rouge, LA

To my disappointment, Sarita's Mexican Buffet recently shut it's doors. El Magey is still open, the owner of Sarita's will open a new restaurant out in Ascension Parish soon.

Dude! That bums me out. I was QUITE surprised with Sarita's. Seemed like they offered way too much for the price. Well, see em in Ascension.

Nagoya is ok for lunch... Just gotta know what you are getting. Which is low quality sushi. But for 10 bucks that is ok.

I want to try el magee off of seigen

el magey is okay. the owner of saritas is related to the owner of el magey or use to partially own el magey. out of the two i liked saritas better.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Business was even better for him because he would broadcast some of the bigger soccer matches with Honduras, and advertise that he had the game. He was doing great, the closing was totally unexpected. I haven't run into the owner or his relatives, so I'll have to wait until then to find out.

Rudy opened el Magey with his brother first, then opened Sarita's by himself, and they each did their own thing. Their sister owns the bakery next to el Magey, and runs it with her husband. I was always a bigger fan of Sarita's.
