Probably not. Its going to be JJ's unless he is injured. Hopefully LSU can get some large leads so Garrett can get PT though.

He just looks like what we've been needing. Confident strong armed pocket passer that can just get it to the playmakers hands

Yeah right. The fifth starting quarterback in five years.

Just what this program needs.

Think all people want is the best QB, best players to get a shot to play. Who knows if Garrett is better? If he is, play him. If not, let him sit and learn, get garbage time to get experience.

If Chris Garrett is better than JJ, why dont we just let him sit out and wait for him to develop? Remember Wilson and McElroy? R Russell and Matt Flynn? JJ is an experience player...last time i check, he was better than R Russel when he was a sophomore

We don't know. From all reports, CG is the real deal. Spring and Fall is going to be very competitive. Miles's back is against the wall, and Gonzo and Frank are going to have much more input in decision making. I hope we see Miles the gambler again this year.

The best player should play.

That being said, everyone loves the backup QB and LSU fans more than others. I haven't seen him play a lick and neither have most Ranters.

You don't know if he's the "real deal" or not til he plays against SEC competition.

Yeah a RS freshman who has never taken a snap in college football. Im sure he is brimming with confidence.

Can you be more ignorant?

Raise your hand if you're a serious football fan (i.e. know anything about the game) and honestly think there's a chance in hell that JJ is going to get benched with his stats.

Seriously. If JJ doesn't get injured or just completely screw things up, this is a moot point. And I'll believe Garrett is "real deal" enough to replace a decent starter when JJ gets pulled from a game (because he's hurt or we're far ahead) and Garrett really puts out.

It's silly to keep making these threads.
