ESPN radio station in Houston had guys talking about that very subject yesterday. They were saying that he probably would not bolt for Tennessee, but mentioned that for a higher level SEC team... most probably LSU if Les Miles leaves for Michigan next year. Also Alabama or Florida were possible. They said Texas would not give Muschamp a guarantee ala Jimbo at FSU, which means he would probably eventually end up at LSU.

Jimbo had a clause in his contract that if Bowden hadn't stepped down by 2010 or maybe 2011 then he'd be guaranteed 2.5 million or so. Not sure if Muschamp has the same type of clause in his contract.

I would like to think Muschamp would want to come to LSU as a head coach, Im just wondering what makes the talking heads think so. Naturally, being an LSU graduate, I am biased and would like to say that its the best coaching gig in the world, however after Katrina , I dont know that Baton Rouge provides the best quality of life when compared with other university towns or cities. Anyway, I believe Muschamp has paid his dues, and if the time comes, I for one would love him to be back in Tigerland.
