Assuming Hicks is a non-factor, only 3 returning DT lettermen listed on the Team?
No. 92 Drake Nevis 6-1, 285, JR
No. 77 Josh Downs 6-1, 275, FR
No. 50 Chris Davenport 6-5, 320, FR
That's Thin with a capital T. I know some guys may be able to be converted, but still. Where's the beef? The above is hardly the Defensive Tackle U we've become accustom to.

We'll probably sign 3 and move at least 2 DEs. I don't think depth will be a problem

Results of poor recruiting and consistently shifting DL to OL, thus sacrificing our DL depth.

Stars and recruiting rankings are nice, but when you sacrifice key needs to achieve it, the team will suffer like our DL has.

We're 1 short of a 2 deep rotation at each spot. That's not that bad.

Besides -- we have Lavar Edwards, Clement, and quite a few DEs who can move to the middle. Bennie Logan for example.

Our depth is getting back to where it should be.

Doesn't change the point of your post, but Davenport didn't letter. That makes 2 returning lettermen.

Brockers could move inside. Looks like he should have the frame for it.

These lighter guys and freshman typically struggle in the middle.

We have an abundance of d ends and shortage of tackles. Some, one or two, are going to have to move inside it would seem. Yea but I agree that it just doesn't look like we are going to have the size you would like to see playing inside. Davenport is the only really big guy and just that Downs saw playing time before him worries me about just how good Davenport will be.

TOS is reporting that Davenport might get tried on the offensive side of the ball in the spring. That's not good!!!

Wow, he's really our only space eater on the D-line and at a position of need. Of course with his frame he could make a very good OG, and we know how that position was this year. If he can beat out everyone else at OG then go for it. Can assume and know the staff has a plan for the D-line.

Mike Brockers and Bennie Logan will both be DTs imo. So that's 5 guys with experience in the program. Not to mention a host of recruits coming in.

that would be dumb...hes like 270 and got pushed around as a DE

i think brockers and logan could be DT's, brockers more so than logan

DT is definitely an area of concern, DE should be strong, imo. i thought edwards and aghayere both played well and im excited about sam montgomery

Depends on if the new staff can find him an apartment or not.
