Was it on in the Leach household?

Not having a head coach might.

Interesting, that's one of the few games I didn't even watch one second of...

Aside from the Leach thing, it was one of the better bowls of the season.

Pretty surprising, since they were two mediocre teams. I guess they benefited from being the only game on TV on a saturday night.

It only said it was the most watched in ESPN history. All of those games mentioned are on ABC and are generally higher regarded, better games.

I was going to, but then they said they'd talk in depth about the Leach situation, and i changed the channel.

'Cause of all the BS.
If that was to happen to any team and then they played a bowl game within a week. It would be the highest rated also.
Its on ESPN every two minutes.

The most watched bowl game on espn in history =/= the most watched bowl game in espn history

The repeated stories regarding Leach & James quickly turned me off. It ruined what the bowls are about: chance to watch two unfamiliar teams play their asses off b/c its the last game.

Being on a cable network hurts ratings...
