opinions on Mike Leach or TCU

I think it's all a hoax. I don't think TCU actually fired Leach.

Just curious,do I need a reason to ask a question, just wanted to know, since it is all over the news.

I think Texas Tech's contract negotiations with Leach was the starting point. I think it was bad faith on TTU part and Leach should've granted an interview to anyone he wanted to.
Once they had anything of magnitude to get him out TTU took advantage of it.
I think the TTU admin is a bunch of buffoons. Some of the comments that I heard from the chancellor are grounds for termination for him as well.
With that said, Leach is a dumbass, he let his ego get in the way of common sense and had he not reacted the way he did he could've saved a lot of embarassment on both sides - the best thing he should have done outside of not doing what he did to James was to shut his mouth after the fact.

I think your problem may lie in the fact that Leach was fired from TTU (Texas Tech) not TCU (Texas Christian).

I did my medical training at TTU and still have many contacts there. One I talked to the other day said something that was surprising. Adam James came to TTU to play baseball, but was not allowed to walk on, and Mike Leach allowed him (probably b/c of his father) to join the football team as a consollation. If that ia true, look where his "charity" got him.

The drama was manufactured by Tech's administration to give them cover to fire Leach.

If he thought James was a tard he should have punished him in a normal way or booted him off the team
When Mangino was fired Leach mouthed off about the situation (comments in support of Mangino) and I think that's telling in some ways... IMO count them as the Bobby Knight school of running a program... if the coach feels like doing some odd crap to a player they think the player should STFU and take it
