yet you are saying it was a mistake to let storm go? i dont think it is a big of a deal because we got these 2.
Yes, it was a big mistake to let Storm go. His talent is undeniable, and from what he's doing in Orlando now, unquestionable. He was the 1st RB to want to commit and somehow his recruitment turned into THE example of what not to do, when recruiting anyone for anything in life.
Was there a concern at the time for how Lache would interpret his commitment? I don't know, but I do know that they are not the same type of RB. The idea is to assemble a collection of the best talent, not turn it away. It is only due to the level of high regard with which many young athletes view LSU, and a set of fortuitous circumstances that Ware, Gore, and Blue have committed to LSU. I am not knocking those guys or their talent, I think the Program will do just fine without him. But it still does not negate the fact that Storm's recruitment was botched and he would be/could be/should be an LSU Tiger.
If Lache does not commit, it will make Storm's recruitment episode all the more tragic. It is what it is, no matter the chest thumping bravado, machismo-isms employed to numb the sore nerve. Fortunately, both parties have moved on and will survive the episode.

When a player with Storm's talent actually wants to play for your program, you don't dick him around because there are other players that might want to play for you.
Stupid and classless move by the Tigers, no matter what kind of spin some have been putting on it.
