This guy's stock has risen so far so fast everyone is slobbing his knob like his name is USC. I think he needs another BIG night tonight to sustain the hype. I think his draft stock still has a lot riding on this game, and a mediocre or worse performance could really hurt him. Thoughts?

with the way the media has been on him, i doubt an average or below par performance tonight would hurt his stock much at all

He's top 5 whatever happens. The only question is whether he'll go #1.

That's what I mean. There is a big difference in the paychecks of the No1 and No5 picks. Not saying he might have to go UDFA.

The Rams likely would have taken Locker with the #1 pick. Without him in the draft, they'll likely shift to the best player on the board, which is Suh.

Is there really that big a difference?

Suh is in no danger of a Leinart/Quinn freefall on Draft Day.

1 Pick---- The Lions announced the six-year deal with Stafford in a news release Saturday afternoon. The deal is for $72 million, with $41.7 million guaranteed. The contract could be worth as much as $78 million if Stafford achieves all of his playing incentives.

5 Pick----- ith a five-year contract that includes $28 million in guarantees - a team record. The bare-bones amount of the deal is $44.5 million, although the true value, based on easily attainable incentives, is $50.5 million, sources said. Mark Sanchez

Todd McShay's top 5 as of today...

1. Rams: Ndamukong Suh
2. Lions: Gerald McCoy
3. Chiefs: Anthony Davis
4. Bucs: Eric Berry
5. Redskins: Sam Bradford

The guy is absolutely a beast and should have gotten more pub early in the season.

The thing that gets me is that all of a sudden late in the season everyone starts jumping on his bandwagon and using hyperbolic terms like he's one of the best DTs of all-time in college football.

I would take Clausen over Bradford.
