Reaction from LSU coach Les Miles on Urban Meyer stepping down as head coach at Florida...

“My first concern is for coach Meyer and his health. Our thoughts and prayers are with he and his family in what hopefully is a temporary health issue. Urban is a tremendous competitor and because of that, I know that this is something that he can overcome.

“I have always had great respect for him both as a coach and personally. He was an innovator in college football and someone that we have enjoyed competing against. We are going to miss him; college football is going to miss him.”

This must have been a written statement and not delivered orally.

There is certainly a want to overcome whatever health issues are affecting Coach Meyer.

SID wrote that. if Miles had said it, it would have gone like this 'coach meyer hopefully will return to health soon'.

Of course Miles didn't write it, it's the SID's job to issue written statements.
