Shanahan and the Reskins may hire one of these guys at DC

According to Profootballtalk.com, Mike Shanahan is targeting Bengals coordinator Mike Zimmer to run Washington's defense when/if Shanahan becomes the Redskins' next head coach.

PFT calls Zimmer the "first choice" for Shanahan, who has also been linked to Bob Slowik, whom he worked with in Denver, as another candidate to be the Skins' next DC. Slowik will reportedly be on the staff no matter if Zimmer comes aboard. Zimmer, however, wll likely get sniffs for head coaching vacancies. His unit ranks fifth in total defense and No. 3 against the run.
