Haynesworth

quote:

Haynesworth told The Washington Post that he couldn't "survive another season in this system if it stays the way it is."

quote:

"If they keep this system the way it is, then they would label Albert Haynesworth a bust who didn't live up to the contract," Haynesworth told the newspaper in a telephone interview.

quote:

"They're all against me or whatever," Haynesworth told The Post. "But I know what I'm saying is right because I've been in a scheme that works."

quote:

Haynesworth said the Redskins promised during their pitch to him that if he signed, they would tailor the defensive game-planning around him. "They might have changed a little bit [but] they don't let me rush," Haynesworth said. "They call what Blache calls 'Hot,' a basic pass rush, maybe a few times a game. And half the time that's changed because of some formation. I disagree with their whole scheme."

Greg Blache is not that team's problem. They are 9th in the NFL in Total Defense. Considering that the Offense sux, and they are on the field always.........I'd say Haynesworth needs to drink a big glass of Shut the frick Up.

This.

Haynesworth just doesn't like the fact that this system doesn't give him huge stats.

I just find it funny he thinks the coaches are against him. Like they want him to fail considering their jobs are on the line.

10 more days with Zorn and Co. Only ten more days!

Agreed Blache and the scheme is not the problem for the Redskins though. Fat boy is just upset he's not putting up his typical Pro Bowl type numbers. Tough shite, each player is called to do his job within the defensive gameplan. I hate his approach to getting his opinions heard.

Sounds like Haynesworth should've stayed in Tennessee. However I sure would take him in New Orleans god knows we need a DT to sure up our run D.

I don't blame him. Blache is a pussy and an idiot. The schemes are messed up on defense. They could be so much better if they played to their strengths. Orakpo at LB is FAIL. Blache is afraid to dial up blitzes and makes the cb's give a 10 yard cushion. He is retiring at the end of the season anyway. I can't wait until he is gone. And Haynesworth has not been a bust. He has been one of the few players to actually show some fight this season. He does need to work on his conditioning though.

Alot of Skins fans are happy that Haynesworth called out Blache by the way. With this much talent on defense, the Skins should be attacking offenses and not sitting back letting them pick apart the secondary.

Article on when he signed

"And after talking to the coaches ... I didn't talk about any money, I was talking to the coaches and seeing 'How are you going to use me?' Regardless of the money, I wanted to see how they were going to use me, so I wouldn't just go someplace and be another guy. I wanted to be that same player, that dominant guy, and if you're going to use me that way, that's where I want to go."

Not his fault his safeties especially LaRon Landry bites on double moves that allow touchdown passes. LaRon can lay the wood but is a liability in pass coverage. I just hope a similar faith don't follow Chad Jones.

My stance on Landry is well documented on this board. Perhaps we would fare better if he was switched back to strong safety full time but he is the worst defensive player on Washington. Regardless, Blache basically plays it safe and gives the QB all day to find receivers, which is just absurd when you have Haynesworth, Carter, and Orakpo.

The defense is playing great. Orakpo maybe rookie of the year so i would say he has far from failed at LB. He is not retiring that's not true at all. Blanche is the only coach over there worth anything
