Yes, because he has done it in the toughest conference, twice.

What about Brian Kelly? Took Central Michigan to new heights, took Cincinnati to two BCS bowls. If he succeeds at ND, then he deserves mention.

Saban also walked into two of the premier jobs in college football that never should have been at the level they were at

To me, what Meyer did at BG, Utah, and then UF is more impressive

But he wasn't exactly taking over talent-less teams here. At LSU, he inherited players like Josh Reed and Rohan Davey. At Alabama, he inherited Andre Smith and Javier Arenas.

I don't think you can compare what June Jones is doing to what Saban has done. June Jones is literally rebuilding programs from the ground up.

Saban finds underachieving programs with tons of potential and helps them realize that potential.

Jones is a freakin miracle worker.
