in shreveport is a fine restaurant. great food, great service.
appetizer/salad:
wife had shrimp lafayette, which really does have "the best sauce ever". I had the carpaccio salad, which was very tart and tangy. I really enjoyed the taste, but i like those flavors.
entree:
we both had steak.
wife had petitte filet, medium rare, with house made "creole tomatoe butter". perfect temp, and very good. also had spinach au gratin... very nice.
I had the "kobe beef" strip: 12 oz of beef perfectly cooked for 60 dollars. It was accompanied by a beef au jus that was great. the steak needed no accompaniment. it was perfectly cooked, tender, and very flavorful. However, i'm not sure i got 12 oz of kobe beef for 60$.
dessert:
apple tort and chocolate chip/coconut tort....
fabulous
I often go out to eat and wish i had stayed in. this was not the case tonight. this was a first class meal, with first class service. I have lived in shreve for >7years and this is by far the best restaurant in the city.
PS...
I'm not sure it was really 12oz of kobe beef for sixty dollars, but it was a damn fine cut of meat.

So, how long have you owned the place?
