Tsunami is a Lafayette establishment (home of the original one), and isn't even the best in laffy...shows how low on Sushi BR is.

Uhh BR is actually much better than Lafayette. And its really not even close. Tsunami here is maybe in the top 8 and thats a stretch but very very overrated due to having a good atmosphere. For sushi its barely avg. In truth there is not many very good sushi places in the state.

A little piece of useless trivia: in the country of origin, chopsticks are not used. They use their hands to eat sushi.

1. Ichiban
2. Tokyo Cafe
ALL OTHERS ARE A DISTANT 3RD
There is no debate

Tsunami is fun, sushi is terrible...except for the Green Monster Roll

Drunken Fish= Cheap (What i dont like about it is that the sushi are really soft..which means the chef doesnt know what they're doing)
Ichiban= good sushi but kinda expensive but its worth it
Karmado = its expensive but it sucks now because most of the good chefs left
Hello Sushi is the same as Karmado since its owned by the same person..expensive and the service sucks.

tsunami is an overpriced joke of a sushi restaurant.
ichiban has terrible rice and lukewarm fish. the fish portions are terrible as well.
hello sushi is fried fish covered in rich sauce.

wahada is decent.
the kamado's on sherwood is decent. the kamado's on bennington, not so much.

the tokyo cafe is terrible. too terrible to even talk about.
as is drunken fish.
have not eaten at waka house.
the only thing edible at nagoya's is the smoked salmon roll.

the correct answer is sushi yama. nothing pains me more than hearing people who consider a california roll or crunchy or tempura roll "sushi" talk about the best sushi restaurant.

a sushi restaurant is only as good as its best sushi chef. and Sushi Yama has the single best sushi chef in the city. If you haven't sat at the bar, in front of him, and had him wait on you personally, you've yet to really eat at sushi yama.

if you eat sushi anywhere but at the bar, you don't really know sushi either.

if someone tells me that tsunami is the best restaurant in the city, i immediately can tell you he/she knows dick about sushi. it's like someone telling me pf chang's is the best chinese.
