With Davis gone, Reed should be our top priority at WR now

IMO. We need a true slot receiver, I hope this helps our case with him. I'd much rather Davis but you got to go with the next best guy on our board...that is Reed. I'm not sure LSU is really recruiting anymore true slot receivers hard.

I don't know if that rumor with him being turned off by LSU from Davis is true...but it can't hurt us right now that he went to Texas...

I'd like to see us get two more WRs, Reed being highest priority and then getting Wright. Our WR recruiting has no depth from past two years. LSU should be able to sell Reed PT now that he'll be the only slot receiver in this class.

No. Reed IMO is a slot reciever, LSU doesn't utilize this very well.

I don't disagree, James is a great WR. I'd love to have him. But LSU needs slot receivers. We really don't have any on the team except CT...and he hasn't really done anything so far(hes young, its expected).

He should be a even bigger priority if LSU boots Crowton and goes to a true spread...

James Wright is bigger, more physical and just as fast as Reed in his 40 time. I would much rather Wright than Reed.
He fits the mold of LSU recievers than Reed.

agreed, Reed is gone and there is no sign he would change his mind.

Focus where we should!

Really? Gonzalez can't handle a slot receiver?

Where do you see he has the same 40 times? Not going by Rivals, I want to see this. Can you link to any combine results?

I'm not disagreeing on James at all. I think hes a great talent...that is why I said we need both. But LSU desperately needs a true slot receiver.

How long have we had Florida's former WR coach?

Will most likely still have the same OC. Will have to wait and see how the dynamics change, but LSU hasn't utilized the slot in forever.

Wouldn't Reed be a split end guy? IMO If CBG could pull D. White/J. Wright & Reed that would be as good as it gets.

Darius White.

Texas was at the top, but we can take a possible late push.

We need anything we can get right now at WR.

James Wright is the best receiver in LA. He is our top WR priority - not Reed who I would like to have as a slot receiver.

Wow, just wow. LSU has a new WR coach now who comes from a school that utilitized a slot WR great.

Part of the reason our offense sucks is that we don't utilize a slot receiver well.

If LSU learned how to do that, our offense would be better. And if we had a slot receiver worth a damn, it would help as well. A playmaker like Reed would be a better fit than a 6'3" player like Lafell.
