I'm assuming since the commit from Gore is confirmed by LSU sources, this signals LSU is not counting on a commit from LS. Is that accurate? Please comment.

ETA: I'm not complaining because that is one hell of a nice haul at RB position in my limited understanding.

Welcome Mr. Gore!

ETA: since confirmed.

They may not be feeling confident, but IF he wants on board he will be in this class.

I'd consider it very accurate. Would be downright stupid to take 4 RBs this class with Hilliard and Hill (already committed) next year

I would have to say yes. That would equal 3 RBs, 26 commits, and we still need a wr or 2 and maybe a DE.

Not that we would turn him away, just that they probably dont feel strongly about getting his commitment.

I'm done with Lache.

If he wants to come to LSU, great. We'll welcome him with open arms. If not, whatever.

I'm not sweating it.

I can't imagine what could be more appealing to this kid than all the things LSU has in its advantage.

Nope, LS is Auburn/USC bound.

No way in hell he commits now. Gore is like a poor man's LS. He doesn't have near the speed or measurables. He was LS backup plan, IMO.

Not that I'm saying Gore is a bad pickup. I think hes a great recruit. Excellent cuts and acceleration, despite his reported 40 time.

You'd have to think that is the case, but get ready for the ol' "no one knows where Lache is going except for Lache" routine.

How you go from where LS was with respect to LSU last year to where he is with LSU now is unfathomable to me.

40 times for RB are a tad overrated anyway. Of course, its nice to have homerun ability but acceleration/agility/cuts are more important for a RB and Gore has it. The guys with 4.3 usually are NFL superstars.

My only concern on Gore is how much slower he gets as he gets bigger...will he retain his quickness?

To be honest Im not sure anyone really knows what hes thinking. If hes thinking what most LSU fans think hes thinking(espescially after the gore commit). Then yea, we took a nose dive.

Our offense and useage of RS has to be a factor.

To be honest, Born post something recently after someone said something along the line that the only people that know what Lache is going to do is Lache's family.

was his exact posting actually.......

I'm not saying that means Seastrunk is going to LSU, but I don't think they're COMPLETELY out of it.

I do remember that..... but I still don't believe it. That was also well before Porter was leaving. I just don't think Lache is coming to LSU. If he does then I will gladly eat my crow with ultimate joy. Otherwise good luck to Lache and I wish he would choose LSU.
