Yeah, but I do miss Buddy D's "Sportatorial". It might not have been so eloquent (how many ways can you fit in the word "sqwerls" every week) but it wsa fun.
I do wish Bobby H. and Deke would bring back the Buddy D. tradition of handing out Longines Wittnauer gold watches to the player of the game.

Ah big pimpin Woods. You can take the playa out the hood, but not the hood out the playa! I mean come on, didn't we ALL know this was going to happen EVENTUALLY? Swedish model with a millionaire brotha with access to hot arse all year round? COME ON!

Another miracle - how is it that ESPN never scooped up this guy? He's world class and has always been. It's good to hear that his radio calls have become a staple on the national network highlight clips.

He's had numerous offers over the years, but didn't want to leave the New Orleans area.

Lionel Bienvenue is in Denver and never mentions the Saints...how can one be so passionate and then turn it off...

Jim Henderson, is without a doubt, the best in the business. His commentaries are catchy, witty, realistic, and above all else, not gay.
I look forward to hearing his commentaries every week. Hope he never leaves....

Jim actually accepted on of those offers. He did nationally televised games for a bit, I forget the network. He never left his WWL job though.

Best quote: "Games like this used to happen TO the Saints...now they are happening FOR the Saints."
That is just a great simple quote!

I'm old enough to actually remember when he began his "apprenticeship" under, and eventual replacement of Hap Glaudi.
Jim Henderson has always, and I mean always been the gold standard when it comes to sports reporting, journalism, and commentary.
Ah, do I remember the days of turning down the television so that I could listen to Jim and Archie call the game.
Together, they made the losing seasons a lot easier to take.
I hope he never leaves New Orleans.
