anti-Les Miles members of TD. Just want to get a feel for the general mood. Say Les Miles is fired tomorrow. Who do you (realistically) want to coach LSU?

Patterson.

I like the defense.

Not sold at all on Kelly. Looks like another Hal Mumme running around out there to me. "I tell my defense to let them score so we can get the ball back."

I wouldn't classify myself as a negatiger just because I call a spade a spade and don't worship at the feet of Les Miles, but I think it would be to our advantage to hire Patterson at TCU or Kelly at Cinci if Miles were to go. I just happen to think there are more quality coaches "available" right now than usual.

That said, this entire thread is a moot point.

Les is here for another year or two at the minimum. There is no one out there I would take right now to be honest.

If LSU loses to UF and Bama next year, I will change my mind.

Gruden- HC
Jerry Rice - WR Coach
Sean Payton- OC
Tubby - DC

ETA: will accept Spurrier as OC if Payton is too busy

if saban dies tomorrow, he should be available. we can just prop him up on the sidelines. that would be the only coach a certain segment on this board would be happy with, dead or alive.

I agree, I like Patterson at TCU. He coaches my kind of football: Great defense, power running game w/ play action. F*ck Brian Kelly, he's the next Dan Hawkins IMO.

Tiger_n_ATL, so you want sean payton as our OC and Tubby as our DC. i sure hope you're not serious. and spurrier as OC also is a joke, right? right? you have to be joking because i can't believe anyone could be serious thinking that would be even remotely possible. santa claus couldn't deliver that. i know your joking. please tell me you are.

well, since you are serious, i suggest you give up alcohol and drugs immediately. go out in the real world, get a job or something. get professional help. reality is just not your thing man. fantasy is really overrated. please note, i'm not calling you an idiot like many on here, but i really think you have a perception problem if you think anyone of those coaches you mentioned would entertain stepping down from their head coaching gig to become a coordinator.

Charlie Weis might be willing to take the OC job, but I don't think he's a match, even if we could institute a permanent restraining order between him and the defense.

TCU likes him too. And he likes them back. that's why he just signed the contract extension. he makes plenty of money at TCU, probably never has to pay for a meal, and FW is much nicer than BR.
