That, but even better now.

He's a better HC now than then, more well-rounded person and coach than in the past, more affective due that improved balance. More aggressive offensively in his play-calling, Bama's OL more dominant than his LSU teams, and his current game-managing QB actually is an unbeaten primetime baller. All with the same old dominant Saban D.

Plus, the recent competition committee's NCAA game changes, that shortened the game/reduced offensive plays, only aided his run-dominant and defensively stifling approach more than formerly. Get in front, stay in front, control the ball, three-and-out 'em..tick..tick..tick..game over!

Conversely, you see the issues that those rule changes have aided negatively in LSU's terms, as the Tigers no longer establish the run as well inside the tackles, and the lack of three-and-out/time-possession lost battles/wars over the recent years, since his departure.

unfortunatly thats why i couldn't hardly watch the game. and what you said is 100% true. this is what you will see as long as saban is at bama.we will play second fiddle as long as miles is here and no more but maybe less. miss state looked very improved by the end of the season.

Saban ditched LSU for the pros after lying about his commitment to the program. He will never coach at LSU again.

I was right with you, but you didn't put "Fact" at the end thus destroying all credibility...try again....

This. The pros taught him new tricks, humility, and an appreciation for what he had in college. Had he not left for Miami, I would be surprised if he would have experienced the same degree of success at LSU that he has the last two seasons at Alabama.

I would agree a better over all coach. But in 03 our Dline was better. The Oline was just as good. Over all 03 was maybe a better team. Think about that OU team, they had a bunch of studs that won all kind of awards. Yes his process is the same. That is what works for him he wont change.
