to the SEC Title Game?

My opinion - Miles to get the boot and LSU to pony up the dough for a coach who has done more with less (see Saban at MSU, Meyer at Utah, Harbaugh at Stanford, etc...)

2011 When the schedule brings almost everyone to Tiger Stadium, and LSU will have seniors at every important position along with an offensive/defensive line that will be returning almost everyone and have 2+ years of starting experience.

Too much of a gamble.

You do NOT fire Miles at this point. His worse season was last year at 8 - 5. We would have given anything for that about 10 + years ago.

Hope for a 2 or 3 loss champion from the West.

Correction, his worse season was 3-5, last year, when everyone came to Tiger Stadium. I appreciate the optimism, but at somepoint if you smell dogshit, you have to check your shoes.

I understand your point and unfortunately a lot of LSU fans agree. This is what will keep us from going to an SEC title anytime soon. Our time will come, but we have a long time to watch Bama wipping our tale every year before we have enough.

replace Crowton and we could be there next year...otherwise I need to look at the schedules over the next couple of years. Bama had the benefit of a weak East crossover schedule this year and having LSU at home and Auburn down.

Les Miles is given next year and possible 2011, if by then LSU is still out of contention for SEC West title in November and we become basically Ohio State in 90's, where we Win 8-10 games every year but never win conference and never beat your rivals.

Do you fire him?
Do you keep him because he is winning 8-10 games a year?

You do NOT fire a coach that has won like Miles.

Completely overhaul all of the offensive coaches or Les can go with them if he doesn't. The defense improved over last year, but it's not Saint Nicks or Pellini's defense by no means.
