Yes, but we were small on the lines and it killed us. WM does not have the skill position talent Hahnville has but they are huge. I hope it doesn't happen. but I think Rummel's lack of an offense will finally bite them. WM 27- Rummel 7

Haven't seen Hahnville but I do know what WM has. My opinion: the only team that can stop WM's offense is WM's offense. If they hold on to the ball and don't shoot themselves in the foot we will find a way to score.

HHS has one of the top running backs in the State (Alfred Blue) who is deciding between LSU. Ole Miss, and Bama. The QB (Brian Ensminger) is a junior with a very good arm who had two 6'4" receivers to throw to, both had good speed and great hands. Rummel took advantage of our weak OL, Ensminger never had a chance to throw since he had to run for his life all night.
Hahnville had one really good DB who is committed to Tulsa. Again on defense the line was small so they were vulnerable against a large line. The defense had speed but no size. The good thing is that many of the better players will be back and there are some big kids in 8th and 9th grade coming up.
I had said all year that a big team would be our downfall, Rummel had enough size on thier OL and were way better coached.

Neville dominated Lutcher with a good game plan....Pollard AND Runner are great in the backfield...defensive front solid....special teams above average with place kicker and punter...Franklinton very good ...Neville wins 24-18

The weather was certainly a big help to Neville, Lutcher couldn't throw in that mess.

Including the playoffs WM is averaging 43 PPG. In the regular season they averaged 45 PPG. They averaged giving up 10.2 PPG as well. There is a reason WM was #1 from start to finish in the LSWA polls. I think it will be a war very similar to last year, hopefully with a different result though.

Rummel and Nebraska are mere images of each other in the way the play.

do yall think 2A won't be a good game because Cutis is going to blow Evangel out or because its typical hate coming from programs that aren't nearly on the same level as Curtis and Evangel.
Some of you should take note of the WM and even Rummel fans. WM is on Curtis' level and the Rummel fans don't talk Curtis smack because they know their coach doesn't want any piece of the Patriots.

I think it's because Evangel is starting a 14 year old at QB.
Posted on 12/5/09 at 10:10 pm to JJ27
All of the 2a schools all got ripped off when they moved Curtis and Evangel down. There is no possible way for any team other than one of those two teams to win state.

Just to ask, is the Evnagel Curtis game what the LHSSA wanted every year when they forced the move down for these schools?
I dont live in the state anymore and it would seem that Louisiana would might want to go the Mississippi route, make prvates play privates and publics play publics.
I know this idea is gaining support in Arkansas due to Shiloh Christian starting to win again.

Someone help me out with these two teams. Who should I look out for with each of these teams? Who are the standouts? Which teams should win? Why?
3A: Notre Dame vs Parkview Baptist
2A: Evangel vs John Curtis

In 3A
Notre Dame has 3 D1 kids on defense.
LB's Welter (LSU) and Stover
DE Molbert (ULL)
They also have 2 big WR's that are pretty good in the open field. ND's QB is pretty good but not that great. ND's RB's are pretty decent for high school but nothing college level.
Basically the D1 talent for ND is all on defense.
For Parkview they have a few kids on offense that are pretty special.
Drew Dileo (Michigan) is fast.
Their QB and FB are pretty good as well.
Their defense is young but could be great in the future.

We don't talk smack because they have nothing to do with Rummel. At all. Don't want any piece of the Patriots? How about could give two shits about the Patriots instead?

riiiight. everyone knows Roth refuses to play. He doesn't want to lose his kids in JP to Curtis.
