There will be some very disgruntled folks if this happens.
If Miles wants to be around for a while, he needs this done ASAP.

If this be true, we will lose 5 games next year and a lot of heads will roll...

Bob McConnell was horrible. Dinardo should have kept Morris Watts and Carl Reese

If this be true, Miles' head will roll after next season. It might almost be worth it if we didn't have an epic recruiting year in state next year.

that is the ultimate, ultimate, ultimate risk of not severing ties with miles right now.

yeah bc those guys are obviously the only ones that didn't live up to expectations this year.

get real, miles.

big money at LSU has to put on the fricking pressure on this moron.

the old saying, "give him enough rope", may be the strategy here, the problem, it could take years for our program to recover

You think it would severely impact 2010 ?

well, you consider that there are some top flight guys that aren't completely sold on LSU already...rasco, freak johnson, maybe even landry (which i think comes to lsu anyway, but...).

maybe i'm overthinking the 'relationships' angle of recruiting

absolutely, this is why CEO's like Donald Trump should be Athletic Director's...they would recognize the storm coming and do something about it immediately...it's just business

I don't know if they aren't sold on "LSU" already. If I'm a recruit it makes things look a lot better if a different coach comes in.

But, I don't think a coach would ever sell me. It would be the program and school. But that's just me.

So, you're saying Miles should be let go or not?

The silver lining is the Coaching Changes Board will be on steroids this time next year. Assuming Brian Kelly goes to ND, who will be next years #1 pick?

Sumlin?
Peterson?
Muschamp?

nowadays, you see relationships b/t position coaches and such being mentioned so much, that the new hires really will impact the program more than people think.

also, if we go 4 or 5 losses again, you're talking about a whole new set of position coaches coming in, which just screams instability.
