There's alot of negative talk & grumbling around here lately. Regardless of whats been happening, a lot of people at LSU took time yesterday to show a family a good time around the LSU campus, and brighten a little boy's day.

That story is powerful.
We all need to keep in mind what real difficulties in life look like. Bless that little tiger's heart. And God's grace for those parents...

You know, this not only speaks to how awesome the players at this school are on the field, but how good they are off of it.
and the best of luck to the Vidrine family, my thoughts and prayers are with them.

Prayers for this family in Jesus name.
Putting a smile on a child's face is always awesome.
Thanks Tigers and thanks for sharing the story.

I've got 4 kids ... with twin boys that are 3. I can't even imagine.
Kudos to LSU and prayers to the family...

Thanks for the prayers from everyone, I know the family is very appreciative of all who had a hand in pulling this together.

Man - I saw this on my phone today when I was at work, and I've been wanting to get home and make a post about it all day...
I know firsthand what this family is going through. Although the outcome has been very different with my son Charlie, we have been to the edge of hell and back with his diagnosis of Neuroblastoma and Opsoclonus Myoclonus Syndrome.
Please take it from me, things like this make a WORLD of difference for a family that has had everything they know and love turned upside down. Tiger Nation, take a minute to think about giving back in any way, shape, form or fashion you can. Even if it's just your pocket change when you get your coffee at McDonald's, throw it in the donation jar for the Ronald McDonald House... donations like that have made it possible for me to have a place to stay on some nights.
This charity sounds awesome, as is Make-A-Wish, and Caps For Kids (also based in New Orleans).
Thanks to everyone and God Bless.

Va Fan may God bless you and your family as well as the child in this story. As someone who has yet to experience being a father yet I cant imagine what you have been through. I can tell you that this story makes me realize that if i think life is a rough for me It could be a whole lot worse.
I hope they find a way to help this young man

I just got a very, very badly needed dose of reality and humility. Too often we are caught up in the mundane and now seemingly trivial pursuit of football happiness (LSU wins) Kudos to the players and coaches who made the little guys day. I pray for him and his family as we all should.
