Best part of the article:

I agree completely with the flag on Jones. Earlier in the year, I balked at the pervasiveness of "unnecessary roughness" calls against hits like this, but maybe because of the increasingly frightening news about concussions over the last few weeks, vicious hits at full-speed don't leave me thinking "He got jacked up!" anymore as much as they leave me thinking "He needs immediate medical attention and a careful consideration of his long-term future."

What is the worst collision you have ever seen while working a game, arrakis?

#3 Another thing that bothered me was the LSU fans reaction to the call. How can they boo that call? Are people down there honestly that retarded? I mean jesus, I get that you want to be loyal to your team, but that's too far. Maybe you douchebags should think about the safety of the players for once in your life. Dam.
In the comments. What a pussy.

Worst collision I've seen wasn't on the field. It was a news clip of a father who found out his kid's dentist was a child molester. Is it common for child molesters to go into the field of dentistry?

The majority of that hit was delivered with his shoulder. He is not digging his helmet under the players chin, which is the real problem. This is a good "football hit". If you take this out of the game, you might as well start playing flag football.

I don't think his helmet would have popped off if it was a helmet to helmet hit..

His helmet popped off because of the whip-lash effect. doesn't matter what part CJ hit him with, it was coming off period

Very violent collision...it's football....but CJ lead w/ that multi-million dollar shoulder.
The receiver was defenseless.....which is tough.......but IMO....a legal hit.
DAMN that was violent though....

most impressive part of the whole play was that joe adams got up for the second time in the game after a super lick. says a lot about him. joe adams head got rocked harder than jones and jones looked like he was down and out for a few seconds. wouldn't have been staggered if his helmet wouldn't have made contact. you get up if you delivered more with the shoulder... unless you are an absolute pussy. it was pretty obvious he was shook up in the head about it. i'll take joe adams on my team any day. he receives the lick and gets right up. manchild

If you didn't know, Chad Jones had been playing the whole season with some kind of pulled muscle in his shoulder, hence the brace he has had on his right shoulder every game up until this one.

if you didn't know... joe adams had a stroke about a month ago. yes, an actual stroke. didn't know if he was ever going to see the field again.

also, why would he have stayed on the ground if he jacked his shoulder up? last time i checked, you can stand up with a gimp shoulder. 180 pounds vs 210.

Did you see the fricking hit?? Christ, I was 34 rows up in the endzone and I heard it.
I'd imagine his whole body felt it...
