anyone care to elaborate where we would be in the SEC and what bowl we would go to.You got it.3rd in the SEC and a trip to the Cap One bowl.So regradless wheather LSU is 9-3,10-2 or 11-1,LSUs only chance for a better season was 12-0 or 11-1 with a Bama win.Not much to ask for.Maybe you negatigers can make a case for why we should've been 12-0 or 11-1.Don't tell me an Ole Miss win would change your anti Les hating ways either.

No one on this board felt we would be 12-0 or 11-1.Maybe it's time for some to admit Nega/Posi Tigers alike that next year is the make or break year for Miles.I'm hopeful things will be better in 2010.The schedule won't be on our side, but,it is a year where Miles needs to meet fan exspectations.Anybody want to give a logical response to this.

i was 100% on the Miles bandwagon until this game. Now i finally realize that LSU can do much better

when is the last big game where you felt like miles outcoached an elite or good sec team

Depending on how bad Bama or UF got beat in the SEC Champ, we could easily be in a BCS bowl game...

See 2006 v. Notre Dame. SEC Champ was Arkansas vs. Florida.

probably would've had us sitting at #5

a blowout loss by Bama or UF in SECCG could have out LSU in Sugar

First you must name who you consider to be elite or good. Because as soon as I give you some examples you are sure to say, "well they aren't a good or elite team".

This thread is stupid for two reasons...

Well, what the heck, I'll give you three. He outcoached Meyer, Saban and Spurrier in '07. He hasn't forgotten how to coach since then, but teams cycle up and down, is the nature of the beast. I think he will make an adjustment at OC and come out better for in the next few years.

in your scenario

LSU beats UF in reg. season

Bama beats UF in title game

11-1 LSU better than 11-2 Florida

He doesn't need logic. He's explaining why mediocrity is acceptable. 9-3, 11-1, who give a shite? We're LSU.

At 11-1, with a loss to Bama, That would put us beating Fl. So, they would be 11-1 also. If they lost in SECCG, LSU would likely go to the Sugar over them. If Bama lost in the SECCG, would give them a loss to Fl., so Lsu could still be picked for the Sugar due to the fact of LSU beating Fl. along with Bama's poor performance in last year's game.
