Last year CLM took his time and helped his Co-DC's find other jobs and that was admirable but this year may be a different story. CLM has proved that he must have top notched assistants to win IMO so with that I hope he pulls the trigger on Crowton after the RKansas game. It cant get any worse than its been for the bowl and he needs to be able to go after his pick of the litter early putting LSU's need's first B4 Crowtons. Thoughts?

Spot on, I would say if he left before the Arkansas game, LSU would be in a better situation.

If we owe him money, make him stay and clean offices or something. With these huge buyouts, (les miles, charlie weiss)these coaches are set for life regardless of getting fired. Bad business.

That is the pay model for investment bankers and corporate executives. One can see how well that has worked out.

Agree that he's gotta go. Not only Crowton, but the whole offensive staff.

I would bet that Les will fight hard to wait until after the bowl game to do it though. I think the coaching staff gets bowl checks. He'll want to try to get that for Crowton and his staff.

Recruiting is at stake. We might be able to save our chances with Lache if Crowton is fired immediately after the Arkansas game, but we also need to announce the hiring of a real stud or it won't matter.

The only reason this would matter is for recruiting and I'm sure that the recruits would be made aware of the situation just like last year.

its funny how everyone assumes they know how all this works. i doubt personally that crowton will be gone after this season, because of the new contract. i'm not saying he has a lot of leeway but an offensive staff shuffle is not out of line. if porter goes to memphis, and strudrawa is let go it will give miles a lot to work with. i would also like to see brick haley let go. totally underachieved.

Miles was not at all responsible for our poor defense last year. The co cooordinators took the fall. Miles liked this team. I do not like his judgement of what will or will not be a competitive team before the season begins. Nor do I like the fact that he can't make us better as the season progresses, despite his promises.

After the Ole Miss idiocy, Miles claims the timeout issue will be addressed by possibly having someone keep track of timeouts for him.

3.75 million and he can't count down from 3.

Just what the hell is this man's job other than taking LSU to the cleaners?

He has a want though. This is probably why we get nowhere.

Has any program fired an OC before a bowl game? Or any coach for that matter? I think Cowton is gone after this season but I think he'll be there for the bowl game. I keep telling myself that the defense was able to put it together for the bowl game last year because they had a month to prepare and Crowton will be able to do the same thing, but I'm not sure if I really believe that.
