That's right. 1929.

The last time it happened, flappers were tossing back tumblers of illicit moonshine at dimly lit speakeasies buried beneath the monolithic midrises of Chicago. Al Capone was turning Valentine's Day into a bloodbath. If you really loved someone, you called her the "Bees Knees." It was the dawn of the Great Depression. Black Tuesday had occurred three days earlier. Herbert Hoover was President.

In other words, it was a damn long time ago.

Not even Curley Hallman lost three consecutive games to Arkansas.

Let's all do our part to make Tiger Stadium as loud as possible on Saturday so that we can avoid making the wrong type of history.

Err. No. We played them something like thirty-seven times before they joined the SEC. I believe we played them every season for the first thirty five years of the twentieth century.

All of the experts almost are picking LSU to win too. Arkansas has no chance.

Who says Les can't achieve something, looks like this is certainly within his grasp. Should help with recruiting.

He won the state championship as defensive coordinator with Northport High a couple of years ago. Does that count?

Just another reason to fire Les if he loses. As an LSU fan, I'm going to maintain a positive attitude, but if I had to lay down some money, it wouldn't be my grocery money.
