That was Karnell Hatcher's bust.

No it wasn't. Don't any of you read shite other than TD.com?

PP admitted it was his blown coverage. Said they caught him sneaking, gave credit to OM on the good play call.

Patrick Peterson is overrated and will never make it pass being an "C-" college player.

NFL will never take someone his size. Not enough quickness, strength and speed. Not to mention his lack of mental ability to play the proper coverage and not be the most selfish idiot on the field.

Most overrated player in college football since Mike Williams.

Just wondering how many of you agree with this statement after Saturday's game.

Patrick Peterson was nearly whipped up and down the field.

So let me get this straight, Hatcher was playing free safety on that play and not Chad Jones? No one should ever get behind the free safety by definition alone. He or she is the last line of defense.

Whoa, damn, what league do you play in?

So overrated Kiper already has him rated as the #1 DB prospect as a Sophomore huh?

PP had one bad game. He shut down AJ Green and Julio Jones. Both of which will be first round picks.

Probably the worst analysis of a player I have seen. PP has slacked a bit the last couple of games, probably a result of believing his own PR. His physical tools are unmatched.

PP has played very well in his 2 yrs here but G. Childs had a field day with him.

I was surprised to see that PP was pawned by G. Childs all game. He had over 100 yards easily (not counting a few drop balls).

I still think that he is the BEST CB in the nation, (not just SEC). The guy will be a top-5 pick when he comes out next year.

I only remember PP covering Childs on one of his receptions, and that was the slant route on the first drive. I was wondering why we didn't just lock PP up on him, but instead we let Hawkins and Jai take a beating. As far as the original post about PP playing according to the defense, I think he is as good a man defender as we will ever have here, and any scheme that lines him up 10 yds of the receiver is wasting his talents.

Peterson is certainly a hot dog. Not sure if this is good or not, he seems to be somewhat of a loose cannon out there on the field. I understand that you have to be tough to play that position, and maybe some of his bravado rubs off on his otherwise uninspired teammates like Chris Hawkins and Danny McCray, but I worry that he gets too caught up in his own celebrations, and misses the play entirely.

How do you guys know he was assigned to run support on any given play? Gimme a break. Perhaps what the OP is saying has some teeth. PP is the best player on this team but everyone has room to improve on certain things.

It was a good play call.

I didn't read him admitting it was his blown coverage, but I doubt he would say, "Na, that was on Hatcher."

I watched the play quite a few times and Hatcher went from a deep half of the field and came humming down the line to help in the run. Seems odd to me that he would cover that much ground and it not be his bust... but I could be wrong.

No disrespect to a previous poster but we are not a top ten defense YET.... Around 29.... Although I do like the direction we are headed on the defense... No one gets a pass for being burnt but he is definitely a top ten pick coming out next year, maybe top five

It was a trick play, he got burned because he was doing what he was supposed to. Where was the Safety?

nobody gets a pass...everyone is accountable...he blew it and he knows it and I doubt it will ever happen again. pp is simply too good and too intelligent a player to repeat a mistake like that.
