I didn't notice any real ugliness besides a mild scuffle in the stands but overall I saw that everyone, Tiger and Rebel, was well behaved.

Had a great time...stayed with some of our best friends in Wellsgate. Always have a great time in Oxford. Everyone was awsome at the tailgate and before and after the game. Sooo different from Bama.

Tailgating was fun and any jokes made between us were in really good fun. Although i was pretty disappointed that the Oxford bars are worse than the ones in BR

no problems at all. good game but the atmosphere/tailgating was as about exciting as a funeral. all the food is store bought; nobody cooks. only music i heard was a 3 man acoustic band playing folk songs.

I thought that exact same thing. It was much milder that I'd seen in other, less important contests. Glad you didn't involved in any baffoonery. I hate when things like that happen.

During the game it was terrible...We sat in an Ole Miss section and had grown men with gray hair yelling "F U", "F LSU" and being directed at my g/f and her female friends the entire game. They weren't cheering for Ole Miss but just directing their extreme hatred at LSU fans. My buddy had a drunk ole miss chick hitting him in the side of the face with her pom pom the WHOLE game and he just took it. We did not egg any of this behavior on as we never responded to any of the classless behavior from ole miss fans. All we did was cheer the LSU team on the field and didn't worry about anything else.

The Ole Miss fans I encountered were the least knoweldgable fan base about college football that I have ever come across.

LSU fans are by no means the worst fans in the SEC for opposing fans.

Ole miss way overused the whole corndog thing considering they didn't come up with it...I can understand Auburn using it but ole miss used it like they invented the saying.

Tailgating in the grove we had no problems and had a great time tailgating at the law school tailgate...plenty of food and drinks. Maybe because we knew people from lsu undergrad that were in the ole miss law school.

After the game there wasn't a lot of s**t talking because the ole miss fans knew they escaped with the win and shouldn't have won.

I forgot to add that in a different section that my lsu friend was in around the 40 yd line on the ole miss side, he saw an ole miss fan spit on an lsu fan who was walking up the stairs.

nothing. the fans we ran into thought they were going to lose. it was funny, because we thought we were going to lose. it was a suckfest. very boring tailgating.

oh, and BTW....the rumor about you can bring anything to drink that you want into vaught hemingway is completely false. my buddy couldnt bring in his drink and they frisked him revealing a bottle of jack. they let him in the game but threatened to take him to the bathroom and strip search him after pouring out his jd.

however, they missed me

Had 3 drunk sorority chicks threaten to rip my LSU flags out of the window of my truck at the Kroger in front of my 3 year old little girl. Campus police made us open an unopened case of beer that was in the bed of the truck and pour them all out. The people in the RV beside us had all their chairs, LSU flags and cooking equipment stolen. Other than that, it was OK......

The restaurants in Oxford use way too much salt in everything. We ate at the City Grocery on Friday night and Ajax after the game. I like salt but there was so much salt on most every dish that you couldn't even taste what you were eating...you were just tasting salt.

I had to back out of the trip at the last minute, but my parents drove down from Nashville for the game. They don't take any rivalry too seriously and never let the game allow things to get personal with the opposing fan base. They're both incredibly friendly people and expect the same respect in return from the opposing fanbase.

They spoke to me after the game and came away very upset with the treatment they received and the general attitude of the Ole Miss fans. One incident they had completely sums up what's wrong with Ole Miss people.

My parents were waiting for a friend of my dad's who was an Ole Miss grad. They were standing near the edge of an empty Ole Miss tent near the stage with cheerleaders when a woman approached them and told them they could not stand there. My dad was a bit confused so the lady then adamently stated, "your kind is not welcome here. We don't like your kind and you need to get away from this tent." My dad actually thought she was just joking around so he laughed and made a fun comment, but apparently, this woman was not joking one bit. She repeated herself, "Your kind is not welcome here!" My dad, while very friendly, has a very low tolerance for disrespectful idiots so I'm sure at this point he had some choice words to share. His friend showed up soon after and the lady left, but the whole situation is absolutely ridiculous.

LSU fans sure love to taunt and "tigerbait", but NEVER will you see an LSU fan seriously approach an opposing fan and tell them that their kind is "not welcome." NEVER will an LSU fan be so incredibly pretentious and close-minded to look down on an opposiing fan and act as if they don't deserve to be in their presence.

Ole Miss fans take themselves so seriosly it's comical. They're a different breed for sure and have some of the most terrible human beings I've come across and heard of. Oh well, I'm sure their reply to this will just be "LSU fans have no class." or "your parents are probably trashy and deserved it" . Ole Miss fans can dress up all they want, eat their fine foods at tailgates, and turn their nose up to "inferiors" all they want, but it won't hide the fact that a large group of them are still just a bunch of clueless, self-obsessed rednecks.
