Fans need to express themselves with cheers and boos

I'm totally against booing a college player but when you pay big bucks to watch a game and the coach (who makes millions of dollars) makes a terrible decision, fans have the right to boo him. Miles says that nothing good can come from booing. I thinks that is bullshite. If the coach hears 75% of the crowd booing something that isn't working, he should make an adjustment. I love Miles and I want him to stay at LSU but his stubborness is a big fault of his.

I guess you wanted Miles to adjust Lee's throwing accuracy.
I am totally against booing, period.

So Miles doesn't like booing, and even though he's stubborn, he's just going to change because he hears a bunch of LSU "fans" booing him in the middle of a game? I don't see how you think that correlates...

I want Miles to listen to the fans. I think he has a duty to win games and entertain the fans. He has done a shitty job of the latter and hasn't won the big games this year.
Some people argue that he is the coach and he knows best so we have to always trust that he is making the right decision. When most of the paying fanbase doesn't want Lee in the game, he should not play Lee. I understand that Lee needed to start the game, but Miles should have pulled him. Unfortunately, Miles ignores the fans only does what he wants to do.

The fans are booing him, because it's the only way to express displeasure during the game. It's the only way that most fans have a voice that Miles can hear. It wasn't just one or two plays that he was booed on, it was throughout the game. He chose to ignore the fans and continue making a bad decision that was a slap in the face to fans that are basically paying his salary.

BOOOOOOOOOOO! That was for you!

So, would you rather fans not express their displeasure? If so, we can do one of two things: 1) let Miles do whatever he wants with no reprocussions OR 2) wait until we lose a lot of games for the same reason and just fire him without trying to get him to change.
I, and 75% of paying fans, disagree with you guys and think it is okay to boo Miles to show him that we don't like what he is doing.

this is beyond retarded, even for a ranter!

I think you are on to something cubby. I think every fan in the stadium needs to have a little box at their seat where we can vote on plays to be called, personnel to be put in...heck, even whether to go for it on fourth down. Afterall, we paid Big Bucks to get in the game. Plus, we are so much smarter than anyone on the coaching staff.
Geez....if I ever thought a Tiger head coach let the fans dictate his decisions I would puke. We move on from that when we "graduate" from Little League baseball.

Hmmmm...weird. It's almost like booing doesn't do anything.

So now he should game plan around what the reaction he gets from the fans? This isn't a fricking rap battle where you judge who wins or loses by crowed reaction. You think our record would be better if Miles based what he did off the reaction of the crowed, if you do you are an idiot.

Let's say 100 % of the fans agree that Lee shouldn't play. Now, if Miles is the only person on Earth that thinks he should play, then you support him in this decision?
Do you honestly believe that because he has made a decision that it is better than what any fan could think to do. Do you not believe that many wonderful coaches would side with the fan on this one. All coaches make different decisions because they are not rocket scientists that are flawless in their decision making. There is no formula to making the right calls all of the time.
The point is, sometimes the fans are right and the coach is wrong. Sometimes criticism by fans does eventually lead a coach to try something new, and that something new may be just what the fans wanted. And, believe it or not, sometimes that new decision is for the better.
I don't understand how you can put football coaches on a pedestal and make comments that imply that the fans are always wrong so the coach should not ever do what the fans would like for them to do.

wow.
post of the year
ETA: if you think one of miles' goals or any coach for that matter is to entertain fans then all hope is lost for you.

How about we have Miles work on a new bonus system based on fan approval for each and every play. Ushers would need collection baskets like at church and be ready to collect. If you like the play you put in cash ($0.05, .50, 1.00, or 20.00, etc.) and if you don't like the play then you don't put in money and Miles and staff gets less bonus.
Booing does no good. It's horrible for recruiting and player morale. If LSU is sucking, you don't think they know that they are sucking?

how about we treat football coaches like kings appointed by God. or better yet, allow a coach to run a football team like a communist.
the U.S. and it's successful corporations are prime examples that democracy and listening to the people that are low on the totem pole is benefial in any system. there is a reason that businesses do surveys and want to know the opinions of their customers. A coach should also want to listen to opinions outside of his own and his staff.
