Assuming RRod gets fired, is Les love for UM large enough to take the cut in salary he would need to be UMs coach?

Maybe. It's got to be difficult not getting the respect that a coach of his accomplishments is due.

A few hundred k? A college education for his 35 children?

It's a pretty big deal actually

to you a few 100k might be a big deal...

but to him... not so much.

that is if UM is really his "dream" job.

I don't think Michigan would come after him and ask him to take a pay cut. If they want him, they will at least offer a match to his current salary.

That's stupid. A hundred k is a big deal to anyone even Saudi princes. Rich people don't stay rich by not caring about their money

ETA

Look how drunk Sean Payton had to get before taking a cut in salary for Gregg Williams

sometimes dreams are more important than money... sorry if you don't wanna believe that.

If LSU offered me 3 mill to coach and Florida offered me 3.5.... i wouldn't have to think twice.

The bigger issue is does UM have to money it would take to buy LM out of his contract, and then give him one of the bigger salaries in college football? Highly unlikely!

I'm not positive but I think in his current contract his kids get free tuition to U-high and also to LSU if they choose to attend.

UM has the $1.25 mil to buy him out. This isn't BPCC or some shite, it is still MICHIGAN

whats to say he would get hired? Since he is such a shitty head coach why would michigan want him? He has had two really shitty seasons at lsu rt?
