the houston chronicle now has LSU at +4 1/2...
the line has moved from +3 to +4 1/2...
i avoid betting on LSU - for or against - but for professional gamblers out there, LSU seems like a very good bet this weekend.
better talent, more to play for and more to prove

Take the Rebels all day

If I weren't an LSU fan, I still wouldn't bet on this game. However, when I make bets, I'm very risk adverse. This game is too 50/50 for me.
The only thing that would sway me one way or another would be LSU's depth. OM doesn't have as much, no home field advantage, and they can't play their dixie song.

I don't know. I'd agree with us being a dog, except this has classic Houston Nutt letdown written all over it.
Everyone thinks they'll win, so they'll definitely lose.

never bet on a game when a team has a questionable qb due to injuries
ETA: unless you know the answer to that question and Vegas doesnt
which would be kinda shady

Unless you have inside info.

I would like to see that, however reality tells me that DC runs through our defense for more than 150 yards and OM dominates the clock ....
31-17. OM
31-17. OM

They probably heard the LM show last night. He was not very convincing.

I'm sure the dixie song really fires up Dexter and all...

LSU wins if Jefferson plays and plays well and the D shuts down Dexter and makes Snead try to beat them.

If smart money liked LSU this weekend, they wouldn't have become a bigger underdog.

Smart money doesn't always move the line...

But I do think it's a coin flip plus homefield this weekend. There are better buys out there.

LSU is going to smoke the Rebels this weekend.

No they don't but OP said professional gamblers liked LSU.
And to your second post, yes, a line of 3-4' indicates a coin flip + hfa. I'm not a buyer either.

The reason the line is moving up is because they have taken more bets on Ole Miss than on LSU so Vegas is trying to even it up by giving LSU and more points.

Vegas is also known to do reverse moves to confuse the gambler into thinking money is being dumped on certain teams... meaning more money could be being dumped on LSU and instead of moving the line down LSU's way, moving it up Ole Miss's way to persude more action on Ole Miss.

Correction they have taken more MONEY on Ole Miss not NUMBER of bets... in theory of course.
See "reverse line movement" post above.
