Maybe. But I think it's the big 4 in 4A and not the big 5.

Karr beat Warren Easton 33-0, FWIW

Easton averaged 34 PPG in 2 games vs Lutcher

Warron Easton

First time we played them was on senior night and a lot of senior, non-starters played the first half and gave up 25 points. Lutcher shut them down in the 2nd half.

Last week, Lutcher's defense just stunk in the 1st half for some reason. Again, they shut them down in the 2nd half.

Bogalusa winning that 1st round match up was extremely surprising, they were one of the worst teams on our schedule.

Honestly, Carroll going 9-1 was surprising as well because they didn't win a game last year. We thought they were one of the worst teams on our schedule too. I think they had -11 yards total offense at halftime and only scored in the 4th quarter against the second and third team.

Look at their schedule and the scores from those games and tell me if their on the same level with those other 4 teams. If they get by Vandy Catholic they won't get past Salmen or Breaux Bridge.

Not to mention that in both games, Lutcher's offense scored at a ridiculous rate and the defense was on the field for a majority of both games.

Lutcher doesn't need a D because they have 50 by the end of the 3rd quarter every game

They seem susceptible to giving up a lot of points at times.

So by looking at how many points Lutcher has given up have you also looked at how many they've put up? If Lutcher gives up 35 how many will keep them under 36?

that bodes well against Warren Easton and Ellender

against a good team, it could be a problem. Thats all I am saying.

I'll answer this on December 13th after I watch all of the games in the Dome.

And Lutcher averages 69 a game against Easton... your point?

Lutcher scored 35 in the 3rd quarter alone.

Is this a 4A question or a best in the state question. I'd be willing to bet whatever amount you like that they wouldn't put up 36+ on WM or Curtis. They wouldn't have enough time as both of those teams would play keep away before putting the best defenses Lutcher would have played on the field.

I don't know anything about Karr. That is why I didn't mention them with the other 4. I'm just saying a lot of people have said they are that good as well. I'd be very surprised if it weren't a Salmen vs F town semi final.

I meant their district, sorry. Varnado (1A) will be gone after this week. Amite is traditionally a good team but Bogalusa, not so much. Breaux Bridge will give Salmen a better game than they are expecting. BB beat East Jeff 42-6. Salmen beat them 36-0.

Lutcher would beat John Curtis pretty soundly this year. They might not score 35+, but they'll win 35-21 or something like that.

There isn't a big difference between 4A and 5A this year IMO. You stick the top 4A teams in 5A and they are in contention.

They are overrated as well. If they were as good as billed it wouldn't have taken OT to beat LaGrange.
