This is correct: Burleson was in the booth with Hodges. It really is f...ing unbelievable but unfortunately is true.

It actually turns out that Gerald Hodges was in fact the replay official...

However, Dick Burleson was the REPLAY SUPERVISOR for the Alabama vs. LSU game. He was in the instant replay booth, and has the ability to give "advice" about calls involving instant replay.

Dick Burleson also happens to be the man responsible for EVALUATING OFFICIALS PERFORMANCE reviews after the game.

This is the same man that in 1982 threw a holding flag on Auburn in the Florida game, which called back a 83 yard TD which would have sealed the victory. Also in that game, there was a botched on-side kick call where Auburn's player recovered the on-side kick, handed the Burleson the ball, and the official signaled 1st and 10 for Florida.

The same man that wrote a book about his time as an official that was named after something Bear Bryant said to him during a game... "You Better Be Right".

Finebaum admitted that Burleson was in the booth. No doubt he knew where his old bud was.

Man, I wanted to believe that the bad calls were unintentional and simply the result of incompetence. But now I'm starting to wonder.

Are you sure that it wasn't George Burleson along with Dick Hodges working together on this demonic project?
It is our obligation to do our due dilgence to get this right!

Wow...I hope this is not true and the officals just screwed up...But now we all should wonder WTF is going on...Now it is all starting to make sense how the officials screwed up an obvious call...Again, I hope it is not true...
