Untill there is a salary cap in baseball they will continue to pay whatever it takes to get the best. Dont hate the Yankees because athletes sell out for more money.

GO YANKEES...this argument has always been a fallacious one. The Steinbrenner family has always been willing to invest in their team because they are proud of it and love the winning tradition. Unlike small market, low payroll teams whose owners don't give a damn about winning, the Steinbrenners are happy to pump money in to build a contender.
Take a look at the largest payrolls in baseball...Mets, Red Sox and Tigers all come close. Case closed.
