Ok. A buddy of mine has his international heart throb coming from London soon. She wants to see much of South LA in 3 days. So, hes only spending one afternoon in NOLA. He wants to take her to a nice restaurant and show her as much of the city as possible from about 4 pm to 10 pm (He'd like to be back at the hotel by then doing things to her).
He asked me to help plan a nice date. Im asking the food board. What ya got?

La Crepe Nanou for any early dinner. Dessert across the street at Creole Creamery. If they are staying downtown they can take the streetcar.

Thanks. Take the streetcar to the Columns Hotel for some late afternnon cocktails. Back on the streetcar to La Crepe Nanou. Perfect afternoon/evening in NO. Out of the Quarter to the real New Orleans.

like the plan but replace Nanou with something Nola.
Upperline one dantes kitchen can all be reached with the streetcar. Uppeline is one block from Nanou.

If he is balling, go to The Columns for late afternoon cocktails and then to Gautreau's for dinner.

Take a cab from the Columns to dinner. Streetcars are unreliable at night. Glass' combo right above looks like a winner to me.

I change my vote to commanders after some thought then columns or polo lounge or Bombay club.

Trust me on Gautreau's. If they don't go I will take you.

tx French food though. They need creole.

I will disagree. Gautreau's has been the most consistent restuarant in NO since the early 1990's. It is an American Bistro with a twist of Creole. Zemanick is producing the best food in NO IMO, without any BS. Mani, send your friends there and they will love it.

London heart throb looked at the links he sent to her. She said first choice is Brigtsen's and second choice is Gautreau's.
And, I am not going to any of these restaurants glass. its just the two of them going solo. so i dont see how you taking me to Gautreau's has anything to do with their choice

How are you going to turn down a date with glass and a free Gautreau's meal???

you are a lawyer. read my words again. when did i say i turned it down? I just conveyed that I dont understand how their choice of restaurant in any way correlates with whether or not we go to dinner.
