Is this possible if Oregon wins the pac 10 and doesnt go to the title game. They would be in the rose bowl. This would be a nice way to end the season and I think LSU would hammer that arse. The D would be relentless on Mcknight. Wishful thinking im sure, but to the bowl gurus is this a possabilty?

LSU needs to beat Nebraska more than it needs to beat USC.

Still then 11-1 Bama goes to a BCS bowl over LSU.

But if we beat Bama and lose to Fla in the seccg wouldnt that make us 2nd in the league or not? Didnt it happen to Bama last year and UGA the one before?

Bama would likely be ranked higher and would only have 1 loss to our 2. The SECCG loser usually doesn't go to a BCS bowl. Alabama did last year because they were undefeated and #1 before the loss and they didn't fall that far, so they still auto-qualified for a BCS game. Georgia in 2007 didn't go to the SECCG, they just qualified by being highly ranked. Like Bama will be this year in this scenario.

LSU's only chance at a BCS bowl is to win the SEC, so they would go to either the Title Game or the Sugar Bowl. That's it.

The loser of the SECCG isn't necessarily the second team to represent the SEC in the BCS. We went to the Sugar Bowl in 2006 and did not play in the SECCG. Same with Georgia in 2007.

USC will probably end up in the Holiday Bowl.

A BCS at-large bid isn't tied to where a team finishes in the conference standings, but on other factors like ranking and TV ratings, etc.

In 2007, UGA was the highest ranking SEC team after LSU, hence they got the Sugar because the Sugar had to replace LSU.

Bama was the highest ranking SEC team after Florida, hence they got the Sugar. It wasn't a reward for being the SECCG loser.

It's hard to say right now with so many teams like Iowa, Boise St., Cincinnati, TCU, etc... undefeated and ranked way up there.

A 10-2 USC will be in the top 10, but it depends on how many teams ahead of them lose. It is very unlikely USC goes to the Sugar Bowl, though, just by the bowl selection process.

Its not possible because the SEC and Pac 10 don't have a bowl tie-in together. If somehow both of these teams ended up as BCS at-large teams (which is far from a given) they wouldn't end up in the same BCS bowl. However, if USC wins out they'll play in the BCS. There are four at-large berths up for grabs and there aren't many teams that would be considered for them. You'd have one from the SEC, either TCU or Boise, and then who else? Penn St or Ohio St perhaps, but its possible they'll both have two or more losses.

The Fiesta is a strong possibility, to replace Texas. (They don't have to replace Texas with another Big 12 team and will likely take USC to play the nonBCS qualifier.

The only way this happens is if LSU wins the SEC but doesn't make it into the BCSNCG. Then, the Sugar Bowl would have to some way pick USC. There's really not a good chance of this happening.

BCS bowls outside of the Rose only have 1 conference champion tie in. If LSU wins the SEC and goes to the Sugar Bowl, the Sugar Bowl could theoretically pick USC as their at large selection. But the Sugar Bowl will be one of the last to pick their at large team since other bowls lose their auto tie in to the BCSCG. USC will not fall all the way down to the Sugar Bowl, so that matchup will not happen.
