Stevan Ridley

I'm sure Ridley is not always as good as he looked Saturday, but this guy reminds me of Cecil Collins when he runs. He has quick feet, good speed, good power and the ability to hit a hole. And he usually hits the hole angry.
I know it was against the TULANE SECOND TEAM, but he looked better than any back that has played for us this year.
Any chance this guy get playing time in a game that matters?

He'll get playing time in a game that matters next season when Charles Scott, a senior, is gone.

I don't think so.
However, barring another injury, I think he's our main ball carrier next year.

He is that good and he needs to play more.

I wish Les would let Scott play FB and Ridley or Williams to play RB.

If this happens vs Bama. Scott 15 carries for 30 yards in the 3rd does Ridley get a series or two?

He is a B-E-A-S-T!
Reminded me of Cecil the Deisel too!

I'm pretty sure Ridley will at least get a few touches this weekend.

I hope he gets more than a few touches this weekend unless he doesn't produce.

i'll bet 100 bucks you don't see him in the game. Miles, do good and sit the bench policy. look at Shepard post Touchdown last week and we all know about the RB situation in Kentucky last year, etc...
He won't see the field.

He won't see the field.

people only say this because he wears #34
He looks to be a good back but he has only produced in blowout wins against the other teams reserves.
Nobody will ever remind me of Cecil Collins until they rush for over 200 yrds against a very good SEC defense. I know u are talking about his style but that player has to produce when it counts to even be mentioned in the same breath with Cecil. And no I don't think Cecil is the best rb LSU has had. JMO

If you listen to Buddy Songy, this guy should be starting every week. He did look awfully good on Saturday night. Granted, the Tulane defense was tired but he never stopped churning his legs.

His resemblance to Cecil Collins has nothing to do with the number he wears. It has to do with how he runs. He is fast, he delivers a blow to the defenders when he is tackled, he is elusive, he can hit a hole at full speed and he runs angry.
I never said, nor did anyone else in this thread, that he is better than Cecil Collins. I just said that his running style is similar.

If we do this we might as well run a flexbone offense with RS at quarterback.

Reminds me of Hester. He should be playing now if Miles wasn't so stuborn. He sees the small holes better than Scott and KW.

His burst reminds me of Collins. It's not just the number.
However, Tulane's second string can make a lot of guys look very good.
Scott himself looks great when he's able to get to the second level without decelerating.

You can tell this by watching the last drive of the Tulane game? Or, was it by watching the last drive of last year's Tulane game?
Or, perhaps are you talking out of your arse?

If you read my post again you will see I never said that u thought he was better and I actually stated that you were talking about his running style.
I think the majority of people compare him to Cecil not only because of his style but because he wears #34. My post wasn't a shot at anyone. Just my opinion.

I also doubt he plays. But, if you take a good look at his runs and Chuck's, never mind against what team, you will notice that SR hits the hole very quickly. His acceleration 'appears' (imho) better than Chuck's. The OL has had difficulty opening holes and when they do, holding the block. For this reason alone I believe that Ridley should see some reps with the first team. Give Scott a breather in the third period and turn him loose in the fourth when he is at his best. I guarantee you Ridley will not be a detriment to the team if he sees meaningful reps.
